In a culture that seems to have the spotlight on violence, from music to video games, movies and even televisions shows, the idea of enrolling your child in kids self-defence classes may rise the question: “Is it ever okay to teach your child to hit?” The reason for that is because, when most people think of self-defence, they think about hitting back or using martial arts. What most of the parents out there don’t understand is that self-defence has nothing to do with hitting or striking another person. Self-defence is about being aware of your surroundings, leaving before a problem erupts, listening to your gut, using a confident voice and carrying yourself with confidence. We want to keep them safe from every danger and want our children to learn self-defense so that they are capable of fighting for themselves. The reality is that there are several times when they’re alone and knowing how to protect ourselves is a useful skill for the growing child. Learning self-defense for kids helps them learn how to take life fearlessly on several levels. Unfortunately, when most people think of self-defense, they think of hitting back. A large part of self-defense has nothing to do with hitting or striking another person. What are the main benefits of self defence classes

  Self defence classes teach some strategies and routines that are effectively tackling the kinds of threats you're likely to encounter, like rape or assault. At the very least this means keeping calm and being strategic about your response, at the higher level it can include mastering techniques. Self defence isn't considered as a fitness class. It should be attainable to people from a wide range of fitness backgrounds.   Private self defence classes are definitely worth it and beneficial as it teaches you to recognize the dangerous situation and you can defend yourself from the attacker. Self defence includes physical techniques as well as psychological preparation which may not be as easy to learn without a trainer.  Private self defence classes offer numerous benefits for people of all ages. There are a variety of styles, moves and self defence techniques, so do your research to find  a style that fits you and find a qualified instructor in that style.   S
