How long does it take to master Krav Maga self-defense for adults?

 

The most common question that people usually ask up when joining Krav Maga self-defense for adults is “How long will it take to learn the Krav Maga?” Well, there isn’t one particular answer to it as several factors come together when estimating the amount of time you need to spend to learn or master the discipline. At this level, you’ll have to spend additional 6 months to master it. 

 Level 3 

 At level 3, you will learn how to disarm your opponent. This is a major part of Krav Maga because it is highly probable that the assailant is carrying a knife or gun. As a potential victim, you need to be cautious while handling and unarming the person. Thus, at this point in time, the curriculum will focus on teaching skills that help you defend yourself. Expect the course or program to finish in about 9 months. 

 Level 4 

 Upon reaching level 4, brace up for a 9 to 12 months long training course. As you’ll be learning about handling and dealing with multiple assailants. Well, undoubtedly, this phase requires you to show a lot of dedication and hard work. 

 Level 5 

 This is the phase where you’ll refine everything you’ve learnt and practised in the previous levels. You’ll be expected to polish the self-defense for adults techniques. It’ll take less than a year for you to master moves against physical offences, weaponized attacks, and multiple assailants. As it is the highest rank in civilian training, thus, on completion, you’ll become a Krav Maga master.
